This post sums up all the rest. It's well reasoned and well stated; a rationale that Olson, Leupold, Roosevelt, Whelen, Bear, and Muir would have all nodded in agreement without adding a word. Over here, in Germany, it was with the storm damaga the storm "Kyril" inflicted. Now they are going away from monocultures, "rewilding" the woods, which is somewhat funny, for that is an oxymoron.

And I also agree with you on the Fimbulmyrkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00316598554062505274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366762006352832473.post-74508194535814060212012-12-01T12:33:57.214-06:002012-12-01T12:33:57.214-06:00All that I can say is, well said- well said AG.All that I can say is, well said- well said AG.Peter Patenaudehttp://www.bootandcanoe.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366762006352832473.post-12802535726974283042012-11-30T09:49:42.449-06:002012-11-30T09:49:42.449-06:00Thanks for that brother. Thanks for that brother.Crohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483329244995181935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366762006352832473.post-90851023780899365712012-11-30T09:49:18.158-06:002012-11-30T09:49:18.158-06:00Thank you and completely agree.Thank you and completely agree.Crohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483329244995181935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366762006352832473.post-3250491582151454152012-11-30T09:48:14.179-06:002012-11-30T09:48:14.179-06:00Not at all, thank you Ron.Not at all, thank you Ron.Crohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06483329244995181935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5366762006352832473.post-54768961602611750702012-11-30T09:02:32.385-06:002012-11-30T09:02:32.385-06:00I'm not going to say anything. I grew up a city kid in the heart of Minneapolis. I went fishing but that was the extent of my out doors for the most part. I find myself more at home in the woods than anywhere else. I also feel closer to God in the woods as it's his place, and "mostly" the way he made it, not man-made.

It irks me big time when people who don't OutdoorEnvyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15128534880274766982noreply@blogger.com
